Intel Core i5 8279u for recording 1080p60

Hi guys,

I have this Macbook Pro with Intel Core i5 8279u and 16GB of RAM.
I am planning for some content creation, not streaming.
I am going to buy capture card and use this Mac to do the whole recording only.
But I need to make sure some things about my plan:

1. Do you guys think this processor powerful enough to record gameplay in 1080p 60fps?
Let me help you to do some analyse with some information:

Intel Core i5 8279u CPU Specifications:
# of Cores = 4
# of Threads = 8
Base Frequency = 2.40 GHz
Max Turbo Frequency = 4.10 GHz

2. If the answer for number 1 is YES, how far can I go with it? Is it possible to do x264 Medium?

3. Is there any disadvantages recording gameplay via OBS Mac instead of Windows?

That processor has Quick Sync. With Usage: Quality, Profile: High, Latency: Normal and a low enough CR number, you should be good.

The only disadvantages I could see would be driver issues (I hope that's not a thing with major capture cards) and some OBS plugins are Windows only.
