Hello,
I'm running DCS on a nice huge resolution 4352x1080, and it's gorgeous across all three monitors. One big in the middle, and two smaller on the sides. OBS, is doing a phenomenal job accommodating my needs, and I'm not streaming, just recording. What a great little gem of a program. I love it, absolutely.
My issue: Once every second on the dot, I get a little skip, that is barely noticeable. I would just ignore it, but dang if it doesn't start to induce an unsavory experience. It pretty much kills the pucker factor, on what would be slamming footage. I'm right now recording with 1600x600, and it looks about right for the size I'll be using online. I'm not trying to go all HD with my video, just want to convey some of the action from the game.
So, I have a guess this has to do with the write speed on my drive, but I've played with a few different settings, and that one little hick up won't disappear, which led me to replace my aging k-lite codec pack, which still hasn't solved it.
I have my OS on C:\ my DCS game is on E:\
With aero off, there is a slight difference, but the problem is there regardless. The thing I notice most, is a loss of vertical sync with aero off, spike is still there. However, the program doesn't indicate any dropped frames as far as I can see. After playing with the settings for about 6 hours, and recording about four dozen "try me" videos, I'm ready to employ a little assistance from someone who can assist me in diagnosing this issue!
Please, and thank you, I know your time is important. I will keep trying here too! I'm considering moving the game back to my C:\ drive were the Windows 7 is, even though I think the E:\drive is a little faster. Perhaps there is some kind of write error? Dunno.
Regards,
Adam
