Question / Help Incorrect Format

I've done something (i don't know what) that causes my videos to be in MP4 format, and since i post my videos to youtube, i can't use videos i record with OBS, because it is the wrong format for youtube, how can i fix it?

Eh? There's nothing wrong with uploading MP4 files to YouTube. Are you getting any errors when trying to upload or something?

I used to do Videos for a living, and I can verify that youtube has accepted MP4 format videos for at least 5 years now. Make sure, if you're recording and only getting a few seconds of video, to record to a hard drive that doesn't need to spin up, like an external hard drive. If you do need to, access a file from the External first, so it spins up and is "in use" by the time you need to record
