Hi.

Yesterday i downloaded OBS. When I started record a Dragon Age: Origins - it's good. When I started record TubeTycoon - it's ok. BUT when I started record Dragon Age: Inquisition - i'ts not lagging in game (Game drop 5-8FPS, maybe more but I don't thing so) but when I want to see my beautiful record i saw stuttering video! I opened it by Movie Maker, Camtasia Studio 8, Media Player and all this time this video is stuttering! Annoying! Ok so i think it's just a bug. I tried changing settings but it don't really helped. then I record Borderlans 2 and next record is stuttering. Ahh I tried everything in options to solve this problem but no. I'm done I need your help suport. If you want I can record this again and upload a file here.

Sheeper.

you telling me a problem without posting your logfile is like calling a mechanic and expecting him to fix your car.

Post your logfile:

first close OBS then open nvidia control panel, make sure OBS s running in high performance mode there. reopen OBS, to the video tab in settings, change to nvidia. press ok, next remove all monitor captures from all scenes and dont use it again. Last but not least, did you just make up a number to put in the custom buffer? dont use a custom buffer larger than your bitrate while streaming.

Ok so it's on high performance but when i changed it i hit the recording buton and then:
Opening NVENC failed!
You need at least nvidia driver version 334.89 for NVENC encoding.

after i clicked OK:
Encoder initialization failed!

It's strange because my driver version is 359.00.

Why are you changing settings after you ask for a recommendation? change back to x264 til we get that working, check the other settings Irecommended AFTER the "high performance" thing.

Ahh ok i didn't saw video tab then to nvidia. My bad.
Still didn't working. Now I can't see anything. Just blackscreen. I changed to nvidia and buffer to the same like bitrate as you said.

Then you didn't permanently set up optimus to have OBS use high performance. do this by making a new profile in the menu or right clicking the program and run it in high performance in the submenu there.

EDIT: this also leads to the third thing I said, remove all monitor captures. since you have that at the top, it will show first. Monitor capture doesn't work with optimus properly

Ok so I deleted all monitor captures then I make another one and this is working. I mean i don't have blackscreen but the videos are still stuttering or freezing so hard.

logfile from that session? please make sure you restart OBS prior to testing a new log, that way your log isn't jumbled up with settings.

Any news?
make sure just the game and OBS are open, change preset to superfast and if you still get lag, change to ultrafast. the "faster" the preset the bigger the files will be but they will be the same quality.
