Question / Help In need to a bit of help setting up please?

Hello,

So, as the title says I'm in desperate need of some help. I've always wanted to livestream my gameplay but i just have no idea about the settings to use despite reading constantly. I thought i would ask you all to see if you could help.

I have by no means a monster computer which is probably why I'm struggling.

I'll give you a bit more info below:

Computer Processor: Intel Core i3-3110M CPU @2.4Ghz
RAM: 4GB (3.88GB usable)
64 bit OS - Windows 8
Video Adapter: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

Game Capturer: Elgato Game Capture HD
Console: PS3

Any help as to what settings you would use with what i have at my disposal would be much appreciated. I am planning on getting a desktop but it's a big outlay for me at the minute.

Again, any helps much appreciated.

Have you tried streaming already? Have you use the estimator to get some basic settings? http://obsproject.com/estimator

So I've just used the estimator and providing i put in the correct settings, this is what it gave me:

I know how to implement the majority of the settings but for 480p as the base resolution, how do i go about that?

You go on Settings - Video - "Resolution Downscale" . Use your Monitor as base resolution

Oh so I'm downscaling it to 480p and not setting the main resolution as that?
