So im trying to stream league of legends at 720p 30fps with a 2k bitrate and im getting in game fps drops and the game feels jittery. when playing without streaming im hitting around 190-240 fps but as soon as i start streaming im down to 70-100 which does not seem right for my pc

my set up:

CPU: Intel 4790k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133 Mhz
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970
Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro
Internet Connection: 20mb Down 10mb Up

having the preview off made no difference :/.

i seems that the games are affecting it somehow as i even streamed the bench marking software and had an almost perfect score

To be clear, im only having issues playing games once OBS/Xsplit is opened.

Streaming the bench marks i got around 9.5k using 3DMark compared to the 10k i normally get so not a huge difference there + it wasnt showing any difference in FPS whilst the benchmark was happening.
(this more of a stress on my PC than gaming i believe)

So it leads me to believe that my issue lies with having a game running whilst streaming but i have no idea what it could be

Some alternates to try is NVENC and of course your CPU should be fine to do 720@45fps (even though it will look smoother with 48fps).

I'm not 100% sure why your encoder is lagging, but you can see it in the stats.
Code:
16:06:08: Total frames encoded: 25852, total frames duplicated: 2430 (9.40%)

16:06:08: Number of frames skipped due to encoder lag: 395 (1.53%)
I would personally try both and see which one works better for you, but in the end, 720@45/48fps your CPU should be able to handle it fine.
