in-game fps drops when obs is open (not streaming or recording)

Thankfully for this forum I figured out the source of my issue (It was the game capture source and only happens to league of legends...so far). Unfortunately I can't seem to understand why it's happening and still haven't fixed it. I know when it happened and it was after I updated my OBS by downloading the installer from the site again. I noticed I had version 30.0.0 and I wanted to use 31 (I was following a youtuber with the latest version).

I fixed the problem where I was dropping in-game frames (League of Legends) when using the "Game Capture" source by downloading and using version 30.2.3 of OBS. The frames dropping were fluctuating from 0 to my max setting of 165. For context I have an ultrawide, 4060 ti, Ryzen 9 7900.

So from my own testing i found out its something to do with the anti-cheat hook that's causing the game to freak out. Assuming its a compatibility issue with vanguard

It happened and I don't know how to fix it.
These are several things I tried:
1. run obs as admin
2. disable preview
3. reinstall fresh
4. no media source
5. only 1 source: game capture
6. try older versions
My specs is 14600kf + 32gb ddr5 + 5060ti
Usually minecraft fps is 1000 - 1300
open obs, drop to 200 - 300
record, drop to 40

i'm not sure what's wrong but ever since recently i've had bad fps drops when playing games with OBS open, even if it's idle. literally just opening OBS causes this lag and fps drop. i've had the same scenes and sources before and everything was just fine; it just recently became a problem. i have tried all of the following:

  • running as admin
  • hiding preview
  • using the "close file when inactive" setting on all possible sources
  • turned off hardware acceleration
  • turned off windows game mode
  • turning off vsync and capping fps to 144
  • reinstall obs completely
i am trying to stream at 1080p60fps. these are my specs:

  • amd ryzen 7 3700x
  • 16 gb ram & 16 gb memory
  • nvidia geforce rtx 2080 super
here is a recent log. also, my internet upload speed is 22.6 mbps.
I have tried every solution to this, nothing worked
before all of this issues ive gotten, i was streaming like okay with 2 streams running.
for details my specs is
Core i5 12450HX
RTX 3050
16 gigs of DDR5 RAM
and my settings is
Nvidia Nvenc H.264
Constant Bitrate with 6000 bitrate
preset p5 with tuning high quality
multipass mode with two passes and profile high
and also look ahead and adaptive quantization off
im also using spacedesk to have a second display, any good solutions anybody that were in the same situation that i am in right now to this?
