Question / Help Improving Quality

Hi!

Had a bit of a browse through the forums and google in general, trying to find some way to work at this.

I'm looking at trying to increase the quality of my stream without drastically increasing the bitrate needed.

I have a pretty nice rig that can handle a lot as well as a fairly decent connection but I don't want to breach the 3500 bitrate mark in an effort to increase quality. My native resolution is 2560*1440 and I'm downscaling my stream to 720@60 FPS. I play, mostly, faster moving games that benefit from a higher rate of FPS (Mechwarrior Online).

What settings within OBS (Or anything else for that matter) can I look at messing with to improve the quality of my stream?
I've got an i7 - 4790k, 16Gb 2400MHz Ram, GTX 980 etc. so I can push the computer quite happily while still being able to play.

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated and apologies if I'm asking something that's already been answered.

Sorry, didn't post one as I didn't really view this as a troubleshooting process and more a curiosity of my own, wondering if there were options or something that could help.

That being said! However, here's a log from a bit of test streaming I did earlier.

dont expect too much since you are downscaling from 1440p

as its for twitch they want you to use the main profile and a set key interval of 2 seconds

wont really change much with quality

since you are already streaming with a 3300bitrate and its not really recommended going over 3500 you are kind of at your limits

what you could do is use the fast preset which you tried through out the log 720p45 on fast preset shouldnt be a real problem on that cpu in most games.

i doubt that someone will actually share some special x264 commands to tweak it even further because that takes a hell lot of testing and they are also fairly limited already
