Heya all !

It's been a long time i havent changed my settings, and im looking for some better ones.

PC Specs :
- i7-4790 at 3,6 Ghz
- 16Gb RAM
- G1 Gaming GTX 970

I got 10mbps on upload but this isnt important due to people who watching me + im not twitch partner so ... no quality wheel.

Resolution : 480
Bitrates : 1350
FPS : 30
Im used to set with NVEnc / Streaming 2pass

Main problem i find at the moment, is for fast games, when it moves fast, the quality going down.
Im looking for fixing this, improve the quality with the same resolution / same bitrate.

Thanks !

Don't use NVENC. It's a trash quality compression method that looks terrible and requires LOADS of bitrate to look passable, much less good. You have a CPU that should handle x264 with no sweat, even at a Medium (or lower) preset, which will look amazing by comparison.

If you continue using NVENC, there's not much you can do to fix it aside from raise bitrate further. Blur/artifacting during fast motion is the primary symptom of too-low bitrate.

NVENC (and VCE/QSV as well) is a band-aid to allow people with poor CPUs to still stream, or to enable a higher quality local recording (by throwing a mountain of bitrate at it, since it's just going to the local hard drive).

Thanks for the replies.
Yea i havent look into x264, NVEnc is quick to set.

I will look about it, some tests.
Any special tips to optimize in 480p ? I remember a field about "advanced" or custom settings.

Most custom settings are unnecessary. They'll add polish but it takes a lot of reading and understanding to get them right. DON'T use a "best settings" guide, most of them are worthless parroted junk, and some are outright harmful.

You'll see a major quality increase over NVENC just going to x264 Veryfast.
The slower the preset, the better the quality gets.
Worry about custom settings later. For now, get off NVENC ASAP.
