Hello fellow streamers.

I'm about to set up a stream where I can stream dota2, CS:GO, HoN and Diablo 3 mainly.

I think I've come pretty far but my stream is still lagging as hell and I can't seem to figure out how to make it possible to change between 360p-720p in the stream.

I am streaming true Justin/twitch and I send my logfile here for you to see.

Logg file ---> https://gist.github.com/1f16247862c026009ebd

All answers that are of any help is glady taken by me. Just a novice willing to learn!

Don't use monitor capture at all on Windows 7, if you can avoid it. It is the slowest capture method. Use Window capture with Aero enabled instead, which is much faster.

As for changing quality options, that is only possible for partners and channels with a lot of viewers right now. For now, you are stuck with just the quality you are streaming out with.

This is the latest logg file. According to when I am analyzing it there is no problem, but the stream is still lagging :(

Is there a reason you're not using game capture to capture your games? That should work better than window and monitor capture.

And when you say "lag", what exactly do you mean? "Lag" can mean a lot of different things when talking about streaming.

I am. I'm using Game capture, Window capture and Snip for my spotify.

With the lags I mean that the stream need to buffer (if that's the word) all the time. Like, it's freezes and need to load. :(

Yeah, that'll happen when you're streaming at 3500kbps. That's the max recommended rate that the ingest servers are really guaranteed to handle without running into problems. It's also only recommended for partnered streamers, who have the transcoding options available, as it'll cause anyone viewing from a weak connection to go into buffering-hell.

It's also drastic overkill for 720p@30fps, which starts at 'acceptable' quality at 1500kbps. Recommended max bitrate for non-partnered streamers is 2000kbps, to help cut down on the buffering for your viewers, and make your stream more accessible/widely-watchable.
