So yeah. I would like to stream cs go and minecraft and league of legends, in game quality doesn't matter. Will I be able to stream i7 4790k or 6700k or 5820k with intergrated gpu 720p 60 fps for few months with 60 fps in game, or should I go i5 and gpu, I really want quality stream. Does gpu matter so much, I mean i can collect the money in 2-4 months for something like gtx 960 4gb or r9 380 4gig. does gpu affect a lot the stream quality or will i suffer ingame while streaming. Integrated gpu is like cheap gpu am I right? Help

Get the i7 now. You're already spending out, you don't want to buy it twice just to toss (or try to resell) the i5 later. A GPU is also MUCH easier to install down the line, and for the games you're looking at the iGPU should work fine for a while.

I'd say that a 5820k is going to be the best of the three for livestreaming, while a 6700k will be better for gaming (more cores that streaming can fully use, vs better single-core performance that most games will use).

Also, don't get lost chasing numbers. There's a big difference between *playing* at 60fps vs 30fps, and streaming at 60 vs 30. Streaming at 60 is mostly a waste of bandwidth you really can't spare, assuming you're streaming to Twitch and aren't a Partnered caster.
The only reason to do so is if you're playing a retro game that uses sprite blitting to fake transparency (Super Metroid, Shovel Knight, etc). At that point, sprites either stay solid or disappear entirely on-stream due to capture sync rates.

Even then, you generally need to drop to 480p@60fps to fit within the advised 2000kbps maximum, instead of the 720p@30fps 'golden point'.

Which isn't to say that an i7 still won't help you; it will. You'll be able to run a lower x264 preset, which will improve the image quality of your stream through better compression at a given bitrate.

But will the stream look choppy with 30fps? Minecraft and cs go needs smooth, I know a guy that has dual pc setuo and having 2k bitrate at 720p60fps. But thank you for the advice, I'll get the i7 first and then gpu. People like60fps because it is smooth but idk if you think 720p 30fps is the sweet bot i'll do that. Than alot man i appreciate it alot

Imho, a proper GPU is needed for streaming without problems with OBS. Altho, getting a cheap one like a GTX 6 or 7-series will be more than enough.
But yeah, +1 on the i7 recommendations above :)

No. It will look fine at 30fps. 60 is mostly just number-wanking when it comes to streams, especially when you're on a limited bitrate budget. Even a 2PC setup is not a magic bullet to allow 720@60 on 2000kbps; his stream probably looks quite poor if you pause it.

720p@30fps is the golden point for a reason. It's the best tradeoff point between smoothness and resolution. Was what I ran at before getting Partnered, and quite a few other partnered streamers I know.

An iGPU will work as a stopgap. It's not the best, but it will work OK. They've come a long way since back in the day. Getting the i7 is far more important as far as saving money in the long run.
OBS uses the GPU for scaling, composition, and other back-end operations (why it requires a hardware DX10 instruction set compliant GPU). It's a fairly light additional load, and if you're just playing MC and CS it shouldn't be a problem unless you're one of those placebo-riders who demand 200+ fps in-game.

But yes, livestreaming is primarily a CPU-based task; the GPU is almost (but not quite) irrelevant, comparatively.

5820k doesnt have a igpu so you would have to use the "normal" desktop cpus e.g. 4770k or 4790k

also playing on the intel hd gpu is a pain in the ass and will cause more trouble than anything else.

just save up get an i7 or an xeon e3 12xx v3 or soon the v5 and get a cheap gpu with it usually a gtx 750 is more than enough for majority of games

Oh right, forgot about the lack of iGPU on the 5820k. Still, a cheap $30-50 budget card will work in the meantime.
Eh, I have a buddy who games on the iGPU and it works fine for less-demanding games. I doubt Minecraft or CS would really tax it. They're not exactly visually stunning(/heavy) games.
Might be an extra argument for the 6700k then.

I only use ASUS motherboards for my own builds. They're the gold standard. I'd probably jump on the X99-A if doing a somewhat budget-minded build.

Not sure if that was to me, or Alpinelol?

In my case I usually run 720@30, 2500-3000kbps or 1080@30/720@60 at 3500kbps on x264 Veryfast.
Before I was partnered though, I ran 720p@30fps, 2000kbps every day.
