I recently got an Intel i5-3470 from a friend for free and I was wondering if I should change the CPU/mobo combo in my stream PC? My current steam PC has an AMD FX-8310 on it and it's okay streaming at 1080p 60fps but sometimes would stutter or slow down, forcing me to reboot the PC.
I've checked the CPU comparisons and I know OBS takes full advantage of multi-threading and number of cores but when I tested streaming with my friends i7-4790K (same as my gaming PC --a quad core), it was way better than my FX-8310 (an octa core).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
