Since i have plenty of computers at home with no use, i am going to build a dedicated streaming pc, do i have to use some form of capture card or can i just use the "normal" parts, i have a i5 2500k, gtx 670 hanging around not being used atm.

I cant use my main computer for streaming cause OBS is not compatible with crossfire.

OBS is compatible with cross-fire, but it can have issues. Let me know if you do have issues with it, what specifically the problem is, as well as a log file of a specific problem.

Hello, sorry for my late answer, I've been working late today.

My computer specs are 8gb ram, ssd, i7 4770k and HD7990. (HD7990 includes 2 GPU, therefor crossfire)
I have 100/100 mbit fibre. (Swedish - Bahnhof, don't know if that is useful info)

The problem is, whatever settings I have - Twitch stream stutters.

I have tried every single bitrate there is, with CBR on/off, tried different CPU presets, all of it. Does not matter what settings I use, it keeps stuttering.

I think my computer would have more power than needed to stream at 720p@30fps

You said that logs were needed, I have no clue where to find them. Should I have any specific settings when copying the log?

There's a sticky thread at the top of this forum on how to post a logfile, a link when you create a new thread (the part about 'if you are having a problem, post a logfile'), and another under the text entry box when you use 'Post Reply' instead of just a quick-reply.

Stutter problems are normally caused by using too high a bitrate; the absolute max Twitch has said is 3500kbps, but that's for partnered streamers (who have transcoding options available). The highest recommended bitrate for a non-partnered streamer is 2000kbps (2mbps), enough for a good-quality 720p@30 stream, or a passable 720@45.

Not sure what you are talking about ferret so I am just going to ingore it.

To the topic author, before you buy a capture card for the second PC let us investigate your current problems, just check the link hilalpro posted, ignore ferretbomb, and post us a log so we can take a look at it. Stuttering can have various reasons (not only too high bitrate) so its always worth investigating that. Might be a configuration, crossfire or other system related problem.

And I would take a look at quicksync encoding with your current i7 and then sending this stream over lan to your i5 box and encoding it there for streaming instead of getting a capture card. Would save you roughly 100bucks and you are not limited by the capabilities of the capture card later. Only by the power of quicksync =D

Seeing your log file it might be that your internet connection to the frankfurt server wasnt sufficient at the time you tried.
I would recommend to do 2 tests:
First of all please do a local recording, in OBS just switch your Broadcast settings to file output only, alternatively activate the save to file option and then record a short 1-2 minute video of you playing some cs. Check the local saved video file please if it also shows stutter or lag.
Now if the local file is fine I would recommend to try different twitch servers and see if you can get a good connection to one of them.
If the local file also stutters we will have to investigate further what might be causing this.

I will do what you asked for, but I want to mention that i lag towards the Stockholm server to. And I live pretty close to Stockholm.

Both of those servers are located in the eu and the eu servers are so bad that i (located in germany) get dropped frames to any of the eu servers at even 1500kbps but can stream for hours to US servers with 5000kbps (just testing.... dont start on the "too high" stuff, i dont stream at 5000 normally) with 0% dropped frames.

So it might be good if you test some us servers too first.
Especially since frankfurt never was a good server and i also heard the same about stockholm, though i never used this one.
