Question / Help I tried to record a live stream but it's very pixelated

Yesterday I recorded a Twitch live stream (Source quality) because I had to go to sleep and
I wanted to watch it later. So when I tried to watch the recorded stream,
it was very pixelated and looked like a 480p video.

I wonder what's the problem? Btw I'm not sure how to configure OBS.


OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K @ 3.50GHz
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
RAM: 8,0GB

Your log file shows, width: 1920, height: 1080, max bitrate: 1000

Reduce the output resolution to something more like 960x540 and maybe try to use 1500 Kbps video bitrate.
Or maybe 1280x720 at 2000 Kbps. if your upload speed of internet can handle it.

What Log Analyzer said is correct on all counts. That's going to perform terribly, and look bad.

Turn on Aero, stop using Monitor Capture, and either raise your bitrate a LOT, or (preferably) downscale quite a bit. 1000kbps might support 480p@30fps, but it's not even close to enough for 1080p.
