Hello all:
Sorry to post another black screen question. I did read the effing manual in advance...
I'm trying to record video playing in Chrome on Windows 10. It's an ASUS 555 laptop. It has an Intel 5500 graphics adapter.
First thing I did is go here: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Laptop-Troubleshooting#browser-sources I went to the "Browser Sources" section in that page and followed the instructions for going to File > Settings > Advanced, and uncheck the "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" option > and restarted OBS.
In https://obsproject.com/wiki/Laptop-Troubleshooting I don't think much in there applies because there are sections for AMD and NVIDIA. My laptop is Intel for both processing and display.
I also checked out https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/ but that has tips for stuff which doesn't apply to my laptop.
