Question / Help I Need Some Help With Settings (i7 3770 and GTX 950)

So I've tried a wide range of settings, but no matter what I do, when I start recording my frame rate in game drops from 200 to about 30. The recordings look awesome, but framerate is kinda choppy. Every settings combo I try either has good fps and crappy visuals or good visuals and crappy fps.

I'd like to record in 1080p60, but at the moment I cannot hit that mark.

I have an i7 3770, a GTX 950, 8GB of 1333mhz ram, and a 7200 RPM HDD

My settings are:

x264
QB - 10
Max bitrate - 1000
Buffer - 0

Multithreaded - Checked
Priority - Normal
Buffer time - 400
x264 Preset - Ultrafast
Encoding Profile - High
Keyframe Interval - 0
CFR - Checked
Custom x264 - crf=15

Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
What settings should I use to get good visuals and also good frame rate on my system?

What this means is that you let your game run without any sort of FPS limit, rendering as many frames as possible until either the CPU or GPU max out. Then you try to run OBS with no spare system resources and everything takes a dump.

Turn on vsync or limit your game's FPS some other way.

Just tried this, it didn't really do too much.
When I have frame rate in OBS set to 60fps I get around 22 (taken from counter in bottom right of OBS)
When I have the frame rate set to 30fps I get around 30 (again taken from that bottom counter)

Frame rate in game is still around 30 while recording.

Be sure that GPU-Z shows PCI-E @ 2.0 x16 (or higher), is it?

Maybe show us OBS log?

Maybe try OBS studio?
