Question / Help I need help with my broadcast stream!

Hello, I need help with my live streams. I try to stream gaming videos on my game but it seems my videos buffer a lot and have framerate lag. I would like to know what may be the cause of this (as in internet, hardware etc). My internet isnt very fast, my download top speed is 6 mbps and my upload (I think) is 1 mbps. Can ethernet cables work? Also, I dont really understand bitrate but I have it at 2500 for YouTube. My FPS is set at 30. Also, can every game be streamed 60 fps on YouTube? Any help is very appreciated. I dont understand any of this at ALL so please help (sorry for bad grammar).

Edit: I try to stream at 720p at a 16:9 ratio. I want to know if this affects my stream.

Try using the estimator to help you set up your stream: https://obsproject.com/estimator

If you still have problems after that, come back here and post a log file from your attempt.

There is almost certainly a non-small number of games that can't be streamed at 60fps on YouTube.... Was that a rhetorical question?
 
You are typing that your connection has 1Mbit/s upload and that you are trying to stream using 2.5Mbit/s.
Might start having a look there .... ;)

Don't use more than ~75% of your upload capacity. If it still lags using 75%, reduce bitrate even more.
With 1Mbit/s upload (in reality like ~6-700kbit/s video bitrate) forget streaming 60fps. Try streaming 480p@30 but I wouldn't be surprised if you need to go even lower in resolution.

TL;DR: 1Mbit/s upload is really really really really really really really reallyreallyreallyreally REALLY crappy for streaming. My recommendation is to wait until you can get a better connection.

Ok, I tried that and it actually fixed the framerate so it doesn't skip! My internet seems fine on another device while im streaming
Even though 480p is terrible quality, it probably won't get better than this until I get better internet.
