I keep hearing the Windows Alert 'ding' from OBS

I've been recording with OBS for a while, and intermittently with no regular 'every X mins', I hear the *pling* of the Windows Alert. I've turned off the notifications in Windows, and it only happens when OBS is running. I don't know why it keeps happening and it's coming through into my recordings which is frustrating. I haven't been able to find any help previously as perhaps my search terms have been a little off but I always just find ones from streamers wanting their personal alerts for Twitch coming through.

I'm recording video games and occasionally browser windows. I've checked that neither Steam or Xbox PC games are playing the Windows alert noise as well.
As I was typing this, and have OBS open I have heard the *pling* twice.

This happens if you capture the default Windows audio device in OBS (in your case as desktop audio). To avoid any Windows sound appear on your video, you must not capture the audio device that's playing back the Windows system sounds.
