I got access to Twitch 2K Open Beta (1440P 60FPS) but it doesn't work

I'm in the exact same Boat, getting only the 1080p Config back from Twitch, even though i enabled everything as i should've. Also tried with a fresh OBS install, still no good. Really upsetting, since they hugely advertise it on all affiliates dashboards.
Am also German btw, so i've got a feeling it might be a problem with our servers over here not being updated yet with the new config...

I've put in a ticket as well. I don't see that section either.

I'd be half curious if the "Latency mode" (currently set for low latency) could impact the configuration being sent as well. I might need to test that. Or maybe it's another setting there that conflicts or bugs it out. I've got all the same issues listed above. Unfortunate. ~_~
I tested it with Latency mode set to normal and other servers, but still getting the same config :/

So, I’ve been messaging back and forth with Twitch Support, and in the next few days the responsible department will get in touch with me.
I also mentioned that there are multiple cases like this and shared the link to the related thread.
I’ll post an update as soon as I hear anything new.

Edit: I also just noticed that there’s no longer any indication in my dashboard that I was accepted into the beta :)

Got the popup in my stream dashboard last night saying that I unlocked beta access to 2k streaming but it is not working for me either. I have enhanced broadcasting toggled, both base / output set to 1440p and obs caps out at 10.5k bitrate with 1080p being the highest option. So following everybody else, my assumption is the popup was in error on the creator dashboard because I never received and email and contacting twitch support just got me an automated bot response telling me to do both the things listed and completely ignored the rest of my message.

Could be possible, but that many incorrect activations?
I think there are some issues specifically with new activations right now, and hopefully Twitch will sort it out.
BTW, I didn’t receive any email either ^^

Just wanted to add because I just now saw your edit but I went and checked myself and the notification on the stream dashboard is no longer there for me either.

Im guessing our accounts either weren’t actually supposed to receive that notification yet, or Twitch is currently working on something in the background. Either way, let’s see how things develop this week.

Got the same info from twitch support that they're actively working on it now with high priority and don't have an ETA for it yet. So keep looking for that mysterious button in your dashboard, may it one day (soon) appear!

Any news?

In the meantime just in case the dashboard notification was a bug, I also applied for the 2K beta here:

Last email I got from them was on the 15th and it simply said that they were escalating the ticket and that they would "keep me updated". Still don't have access to 1440p streaming as of right now anyways.

Small update: the notification was actually a mistake... at least that’s what Twitch confirmed to me. A bit frustrating, especially considering I submitted my beta request over a month ago. But oh well, not much we can do for now. I guess we’ll just have to wait for the rollout. Cheers to everyone!

Twitch being Twitch. Don't get too excited. Despite doing this since 2008, they couldn't give a damn.

Hi Draco,

Over the weekend, a banner in the Creator Dashboard was mistakenly shown to all users on Twitch saying that they had access to 2k(1440p) streaming. It has since been taken down for anyone who was not already invited to the limited 2k beta group in June.

Unfortunately, we’re not ready to extend access to 2k(1440p) streaming to all streamers just yet. The team is actively working on addressing feedback we’ve received during the early beta period. We want to make improvements to the experience before giving access to more users to ensure that we can deliver a positive experience to you and your viewers. Apologies for the confusion, please keep an eye out for future updates once we're ready to roll it out.

Regards,

Twitch Support

Well, i got an Email this night with the invite and now it actually works! Still no Mysterious button in the settings on the dashboard, but its working as intended now for me...

Wanted to update because I got an email from support saying that my account would be flagged and surely enough an hour later I got the email telling me that I'm not allowed to stream in 1440p.

Same here, but no access to other encoders than H264 here, for some reason, but It seems like I can now access 20mbps upload rate...

Hey, I got few people around me with that 2K problem, and it seems that need a option in OBS to be checked ✅
to enable the 2K ✅ Enhanced Broadcasting

Can't seem to edit but I meant to say now allowed. Either way issues fixed for me.
