Bug Report I get constant crashes with OBS 32 bit and 64 bit version

I get constant crashed with OBS. Whenever i switch tabs ( ingame ) to You Tube or whenever i watch my own stream to check if it works it constantly crashes. Sometimes it works for more than 1 hour, sometimes OBS is closing itself 10 times within a minute. I tried to enable and disable the CFR under advanced settings (looked that up in this forum) I reinstalled OBS for about 2 or 3 times. I checked my graphic drivers several times. (they are up to date) I even tried to change the global settings (NVIDIA GPU) for OBS to NVIDIA High Performance Prozess. I play the game League of Legends in Fullscreen ( windowed mode or borderless mode would work better, still not without crash but the screen freezes all the time) Both programs (LoL and OBS) run with NVIDIA High performance Prozess. My currend Graphic drivers are NVIDIA GeForce 340.52 (but i think that's the version right ? )

To be honest i dont know what my Laptop has and doesen't.

My Prozess is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430 CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz
RAM: 8,00 GB
System is 64 bit

I followed the Tutorial on the official website for OBS. All my settings are exactly the same.



The crash reports are different. This is one:

Other crash report are simple ones like "OBS has stopped working" or something like that.





Another one is this :

Texture->Map failed:0x887a0005 0x887a0005

Your video card disappeared from the system. Please check for possible hardware / driver issues. This error can also occur if you have enabled opencl in x264 custom settings.



I couldnt find the last crash report ( im kinda forcing it right now to get every last information for you)

Try changing capture methods, eg use window capture instead of monitor / game and run your game in borderless mode. Laptop drivers are very flaky, you just have to find what works properly for your laptop.

Well ... that's exactly my problem. If i run the game in borderless mode, it freezes all the time. Additional to that, the OBS crashes wont disappear. Let's say ... if i run the game in fullscreen i get about 50 OBC crash reports a day, and if i run the game in borderless / windowed mode I get about 15-20 crash reports a day. So basically it doesen't really matter if i change capture modes or switch to borderless / windowed mode ingame.

Is there another way to solve this Problem ?

I think i solved my Problem. Your OBS Log Analyzer helped me out alot. I started my stream several times and stopped it and analyzed almost every single Log i've made so far and followed those instructions there.

To be honest ... for me it was kinda hard to find ( this Analyzer) still it woked great for me.

I'm gonna contact u as soon as I got any new troubles.


For those who want to try to fix their own problems such as blackscreen, frozen screen, crashes, poor stream quality and so on, this is the site:

Start your stream for about 10- 15 seconds, stop it and paste that log file into that.

Log files can be found by going to the Settings / Open Log Folder menu item inside OBS.
