Question / Help I Cant Capture Games like Battlefield 3

Hi,
im trying for hours now to find a solution to my problems (im sorry for my bad english, im from Germany) :

1. If i want to capture Battlefield 3, i have a blackscreen or just the upper left part of the monitor shows the game, the other part is black. -> i tried everything but i cant get a functioning video

2. i cant record fluently. i just wanted to test before streaming, but i have frame drops in every game, and sometimes obs sets the max frame rate to 20...

GTX 670
8gb ram
Windows 7

you dont actually have to run the game in window mode if you dont want to
you could be running the game fullscreen and capturing with game capture just make sure that you change some options on the game capture source that your sources gets strechted to full screen

gotta wait till an dev gives an suggestion to the blackscreen problem since this isnt even a laptop ;D

I had this issue and in properties of game capture set to battlefield 4 than click on hotkey. Go in full screen in game and hit whatever you set the hot key at (default is f12) this worked for me to fix the issue but now I have bad fps drops. Which is odd last week I could stream without using hot key on game capture and at little to no fps in game drops. I think it's something with obs. But try that out see if it works using hotkey did for me
