loads on obs, with message loading emotes and bages..
connecting to night's chat socket server...
connected
joined to channel: ****

but when i type in chat on twitch does not appear on obs

anyone else has this problem ?

thanks for the help

did a restart of obs, twitch even made a new chat.

Twitch's chat servers have been crapping out all day. Might be that.

I also know that Nightbot was chat-banned earlier due to some changes made without any kind of forethought as to how connections are handled. I'm not sure how Night's plugin works, but the above indicates that it's connecting back to a server on Night's end rather than directly to the Twitch IRC servers from your IP, so it could be affected as well, if the ban of Nightbot also hit whatever IP he's using on his end for the chat source plugin.

I really don't know how that plugin works, as I prefer using a chromakeyed capture of a popout chat box, due to the nature of Twitch Chat eating messages. I want people to be able to see what *I* have seen, rather than possibly having a message not delivered to the chat box I'm looking at, but still shown on-screen by the Night plugin.

i used to use the chromemake capture (betterttv) popout also, but then i always needed to popout my chat offcourse ;-) with the nightdev chat obs i dont need to do this and i can open my stream on my other pc and look at my chatbox while i look at my stream for quality check.

yes think the nightbot being banned has allot to do why i cannot connect to this ;-) thanks for the headsup, i hope 2Morrow all will be fixed and twitch will still allow nightbot to be on there.
