Question / Help How to stream at a low quality and record at a high qulity (elgato)

I would like to stream and record at the same time but want the quality high on my recording but when i stream it freezes. i turn the bit rate to 3500 and the recording look horrible but cant go any higher if i want to stream as it freezes/buffers every five minutes.

OBS Studios can do streaming at lower bitrate and recording at a higher bitrate. ideally if you do this, it is best to use a hardware encoder for the local recording and x264 for the stream for quality reasons.

hardware decoder with high bitrate such has NVENC, quicksync or VCE will work.
