Question / Help How to set up automatic scene switch

I have two webcams that I want to use for my stream. My goal is to have one camera switch to the other, and after a few minutes switch back to the original camera; I'd like this cycle to keep going.

Now, I'm having trouble trying to set this up. I have my cameras set up and everything, but I'm not sure how the settings should look like. Can any one give me advice on how to fix this? I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer.

I'm using ver. 0.655b on Windows 8.1 (64-bit, I think). Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Also, I'm using OBS to stream my DJ gigs. I've seen some DJs have 2 cameras where one camera would cut to the other automatically. Then after a minute or two it'll switch back. So yeah, that's what I want to accomplish.

Well, you could set up a script with autohotkey or something. But there's no automatic timed switch between scenes in OBS.

The automatic scene switcher plugin works when it detects a specific program starting up (as with going in-game with League of Legends, as the in-game client is a separate program from the menus). So that's not what you're looking for.

Most likely those other DJs either don't use OBS, or have another cam-managing program grabbing the cams and providing a virtual-cam output for video transitions and effects.

Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to know what kind of cam-managing programs would utilize the different cameras? Also, I've tried the hotkey route, which is okay. If I can't find out how to switch cameras like in my original idea, I guess I can go the hotkey route. I do have a question for the hotkeys and transitioning from one scene to the next-- is there a way to make the transition smoother, as in let it fade out and into the next scene instead of just going to the next scene abruptly? Thanks.
