Question / Help How to save different broadcast settings?

My question is how do I create settings for different broadcasts?
If I stream different content to twitch than YouTube, how do I save the different setting with out disturbing the other?

I am guessing that it is done by creating different scenes, however the scenes seem to use the same settings as the original set up. Is it safe to change the settings by selecting a scene and then editing, or will this change the settings for both scenes?

I really don't want to lose my original settings.
How can I create a totally different type stream to a different site and go between them with out having to manually change the audio, video settings and save them? I don't see that option.

Streams settings can be saved by using profiles
Scene settings are stored in scenes.xconfig under OBS config folder, if you have multiple shows for example, you can rename this file accordingly

Okay so when I go between sites, I should go to a profile for it and the settings are safe to tweak?

As for scenes, do they change when profiles are changed or is there a .xconfig to do?
A quick edit. When I change between profiles, I notices the scenes stay the same. Can't I just uncheck the scene I won't be using?

Thank you in advance for your help and response.

Yes of course you can just use different scenes, but if you have many different shows, you may want -for example- to use the same hotkeys to switching between scenes. Thats why you need to copy/rename/backup scenes.xconfig. At least thats what I do for now, as OBS still doesn't have a load/save feature for scenes

As for profiles, you can have many and just switch when you need to switch channel/streaming provider, it is not tied to the scenes config file
