Question / Help How to Save Audio File Separately from Video File?

I've been wanting to do this for a while. My mic isn't top of the line, so I get a lot of background static noise, and I want to run the audio file through Audacity with the Noise Removal tool, so that I can remove the background static noise when I am not talking. I've tried OBS's noise gate, but there's just so much static that it's still noticeable even when I am talking. Is this possible? I seem to remember being able to do this a while ago, but I don't remember if it was OBS or not.

Thank you.

Neither OBS nor OBS Multiplatform currently support clean separate files for audio.
OBS Multiplatform supports multi-track recording so that you can have your microphone channel(s) on a separate track from your game in the video. From there you can extract the audio using ffmpeg or avidemux (or even with audacity itself) and do your post-processing on it.
