Don't think you can do that automatically.
Workarounds:
Just turn the text off on the scene
You could set up two identical scenes, with one having the text and then use hotkeys to switch to the one without the text.
Another option is perhaps rendering out a video of the text which goes blank at the end and using the video player plugin (this is really clunky and I think you are better off just turning it off) I use this method for animated lower thirds, turn it on, animates on and then animates off again (make sure you don't have looping on)
How are you getting the text to display in the first place, I presume you are switching to a scene with it or clicking to display it within the current scene? Just doing the reverse seems the easiest way to do it.
