Edit: I think what I'm looking for is known as Echo Cancellation. When my mic picks up the audio from the external speakers, OBS cancels out what my mic picks up because it will be an echo of the Desktop Audio.
Is this possible?
When I record a Zoom meeting in OBS, my audio records perfectly. Other Zoom callers audio has a strong echo. This is because my lav mic picks up their audio from the external speakers. There's no obvious feedback loop during the actual call, but in the OBS recording, it's pretty obvious.
However, if I use the native recording feature in the Zoom desktop app, no echo is recorded using the same setup. I think Zoom automatically switches off my mic when audio comes out of the speakers.
Is there a fix to my echo issue in OBS recordings?
