Question / Help How to get a headset and earphones working at same time

I stream games on Twitch and I plan on streaming a game this weekend. I use a headset while streaming, but I was going to play the game with my mom and she needs to be able to hear the game. So I wondered if anyone knew if I could get the sound from the game to come through both my headset and headphones. But I still want to be able to talk into my headset to my audience while I stream.

The microphone is seperate of the speaker/headset output, so that wont be a problem. To get the sound into both your Headset and Speakers though you probably will have to use the stereomix (assuming your soundcard comes with one).
First you have to seperate your front and back speaker ports (assuming you have the headset connected to the front of your pc and the speakers to the back). That can be done on many onboard soundcards. Then you would use your Speakers as the windows default playback device, get into the properties of your stereomix (under recording in windows) and set it to listen to your headset.
Then all sounds will play through the Speakers as well as the Headset.

and so Im assuming that the sound coming from the speakers will then come through my mom's headphones when I plug them into the headphone jack?
