Thanks for taking a look and helping me out.

I've recently been working on getting a good set up for streaming. I've found that twitch only works in aspect ratio 16:9 and my monitor/tv doesn't work in that. I'm pretty sure it's 16:10. I've done quite a but of searching and tried a few of the possible solutions like running in a 16:9 resolution and these didn't help me. One of the more common suggestions was to fill the black bars with chat and/or other things. I've figured out how to get the chat transparent in the stream using the BetterTTV chrome app and it looks fine but I can't get it to move into the black bars. It just moves to the edge of the game screen or if I drag it out of the stream preview window it disappears altogether. I'm streaming hearthstone if that makes any difference. Anybody know what I can do to get those black bars covered?

Thank you in advance

The black bars are not something that exist, instead, they are empty space due to twitch centering your image in its aspect-ratio locked little web viewer. You shouldn't be too concerned about it 16:10 isn't a huge ratio difference.

Just manually set your base resolution in video settings to a 16:9 video resolution such as 1920x1080, center your source, and then put stuff on the sides if you wish.
