How there is not a scene backup is beyond me

My PC crashed and OBS corrupted my .xconfig file. Took me weeks to create and set up my layout, dozens of CLR Browser global sources(heavily customized CSS), looping videos for cool background.. I could go on. Now it's all gone.

Just copy files to a folder when you launch OBS, maybe keep 2 backups, I'm gonna back up everything from now on but this has happened to a lot of people and will continue to happen.

OBS-Studio creates a .bak file that can be used to regain your scenes and sources. Also I am not sure I have seen reports of corrupted files for OBS-Studio yet.
In the classic OBS as far as I know, we could not pin-point why these corrupted files happen for some users while others never encountered them.
The main development is on OBS-Studio now, for quite some time.
