Are you seriously telling me to disable an overlay ?
Even so i can't i need rivatunner stats to monitor my hardware.........
I'm not gonna disable it even if a developer tells me to........
Can we get a ignore warning option in settings to not popup warning cous its very anoying.

A lot of overlay programs interfere with OBS hooking DirectX and OpenGL, which is required to use Game Capture. So yes, oftentimes the best solution is to disable the overlay.

Yeah well i can't disable it and it does't cause obs to crash either or the game, so i do like the option to completly ignore it so i dont get a warning message each time it reconnects.
I would hate to downgrade just because of this overlay warning.

Have you added OBS.exe to the RivaTuner exception list?

I've never had any conflict issues myself, and I use Precision/RivaTuner myself, not really sure what to tell you, unfortunately.

Can I see a screenshot of your RivaTuner settings? This is what mine looks like, for instance: http://i.imgur.com/QK6QCWo.png

What exactly do you need the rivatuner thing for, anyway?

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I get this message every single time I start recording, even with OBS added to RivaTuners blacklist and even with it off completely. I think it might be something to do with my Oculus drivers but either way I need to be able to disable this message. Recording works fine in once I alt tab and click ignore but since some games crash on alt tabbing due to bad Rift support, it means I just cant record them. I don't get this on my AMD rig oddly enough even though it's Windows setup is identical apart from the GPU drivers.

Edit: Why do I always figure stuff out as soon as I post a complaint about it? The problem arises from the actual hardware monitoring part of MSI Afterburner rather than RTSS's overlay. Turned off both HWINFO and Afterburner and I don't get a message. Still means I can't do video benchmarks or have any overclocking running while recording.

Well you can if you add OBS to the program list in RivaTuner and turn the detection OFF.
RivaTuner will still work for your game or whatever you are recording but it won't interfere with OBS anymore.
Just be careful to add only the OBS version you use to RivaTuner (x32 || x64), because RivaTuner does not differenciate between two programs with the same name.

I already did, the issue is with anything monitoring values from the GPU itself. I have the RTSS part of HWINFO completely disabled for instance, but because its polling info straight from the GPU drivers OBS kicks up a warning. Same thing with Afterburner with RTSS turned off.

RTSS / Afterburner still inject into all processes even if you turn it off. It's a flawed system since OBS can't tell if its turned off, it can only tell if it's present or not.

For me OBS and Afterburner with RivaTuner work flawlessly together, while monitoring, recording and displaying (in OSD) the following data:
GPU
-Temps
-Usage
-FanVelocity
-Frequency

CPU
-Temps
-Usage

RAM
-Usage

Game
-Framerate

The screenshot shows my RivaTuner settings for OBS.exe

Like I said, be careful to add ONLY the 64bit version of OBS to RTSS / or the 32bit one if you use OBS 32bit.
