Does anyone know how to make your twitch alerts play though the stream only so my desktop audio and me do not hear it but the stream does?

This is so i can have another recording program record gameplay while i stream on OBS but hearing the alerts in the background of the recording because it is picking up all desktop audio is really annoying so could someone please help?

As far as I am aware, the CLR browser plugin plays to the default desktop output device, and cannot be set to stream-only audio mode.

Unsure if the OBS Studio browser extension has that capability, but may be worth a look.

I have looked into OBS studio as i am using it now and it does not allow you to do it which sucks because i know you could do this with the video plugin on the old OBS

Yes, but the Video plugin isn't what you'd use for alerts anyway. So while that says it's possible to play audio only to stream, it doesn't say much more.

You'd need to reach out to the version-appropriate browser plugin coder and ask them to add a selector to the plugin for audio. Which might not even be possible, depending on how they implemented it; after all, you can't specify output device/channel for most browsers, and if they just slapped in a preexisting framework, that may carry across.
