Question / Help How do I set up my audio for stream (OBS & Twitch)?

Hey guys! Hopefully this week I'll have the parts needed to build my PC and I'll be new to streaming my games. I'm looking to set up my stream using OBS so viewers can hear my music while I have my headset/mic plugged in. The setup I've always had was:

-Main speakers plugged into onboard in the back of my PC (ASRock Z75 Pro3 mobo)

&

-Headset w/ mic plugged into front audio & mic jacks. (my headset has two connectors on it so one would be plugged into the front audio jack and the other would be plugged into the front mic jack; it's a Logitech headset w/ mic included)

What I want to know, is there a way for me to have both those devices connected so my viewers on Twitch can still listen to my music and have myself still using my headset w/ mic at the same time? I'm not sure if there's any way to do that while both devices are using the audio jack on the mobo and the one via front panel. >_< Can I simply use the "Audio VoiceMeeter" to have myself talking through my headset w/ mic and have my viewers hear me and music? I saw this YouTube video on the program and it seems like it's the solution to my problem lol! What do you think?

VAC (Virtual Audio Cable) or VB-Audio are probably what you're looking for.

That said, using stream-side music is not a great idea. If there's dead air, you should be talking to fill it, not using music. It becomes a crutch, and is one reason a lot of new casters tend to develop the bad habit of 'dead sticking' through the cast. Only time non in-game music should really be used is during AFK breaks. Beyond that, you should be entertaining.

Thanks for that. I'll be using the AudioMeeter program to resolve that. However, I don't agree with your comment about not using music for viewers to hear, cause I've seen many streamers on Twitch talk, game and play music and be successful all at the same time. I've seen streamers use the Nightbot for viewers to request music as well. So it's obvious why I don't agree with you comment. Again, thanks for your help.
