Hi,

I have 3 scenes: League of Legends game, League of Legends chat and my browser, Google Chrome. When I click on my Google Chrome scene, it says that the window is minimized and I see black (sometimes it works tho). What's wrong? How do I add a Google Chrome scene anyway, because right now it says 'Open Broadcaster Software - post new topic' instead of 'Google Chrome' because OBS is the tab I am running right now. Does that matter? How does it work for the scene switcher program?

The most fool proof way of adding Google Chrome would be to add it as a Monitor Capture; however, this would not give you amazing performance in that scene. But barring any attempts to stream Youtube videos through OBS this shouldn't really matter, most browsing does not require all that much FPS anyhow.

Thanks, but I have a few new questions now.

My stream seems to flicker. My League of Legends ui disappears for a very very short period of time and then comes back on the stream (http://www.twitch.tv/jhoodbossb/b/440162977). This happens with full screen but I don't think it happens with borderless. However, if I go borderless then I will experience frame issues because it will do a monitor capture. How can I fix this? Are there other ways to add my browser without a monitor capture? And in the scene switcher plugin I have now checked 'when no window title matches switch to 'Desktop' (Chrome etc) because I don't know what window title it should check for in order to switch to that scene I did it this lazy way. Sorry for my questions, could you try to help me out?>

You can just run Game Capture/Window Capture with a Borderless Window, it's not a problem at all. Just limit the Monitor Capture to just the Google Chrome scene. So, assuming no other scenes, you would have 3 scenes:
  • LoL's menu window (Window Capture or Monitor Capture)
  • LoL's match window (Window Capture or Game Capture)
  • Google Chrome (Monitor Capture)
If you go with a Window Capture for LoL's 2 windows, I would suggest Enabling Aero.

God damn it. I am getting really frustrated. SOmetimes it shows the game client and sometimes it just shows a black screen. You say I have to capture Google Chrome but can I use 'Google Chrome' as a source? Will it not only show 1 tab? Why the hell is this still not working after almost a week?

Right now the scene switcher doesn't work. I have a scene named 'Google Chrome' with source 'Google Chrome', a monitor capture. In the scene switcher I have: check for 'Google Chrome' switch to 'Google Chrome'. However, my tabs have different names with the title of what I'm looking at. My tabs aren't named 'Google Chrome' but 'Youtube - Justin Bieber - Baby'. Is this what is causing the conflict? How can I properly configure it? I am pretty sure I am not the only one who wants a simple switch to his browser so I am not sure why this is so hard to do for me.

I am also little frustrated to browser selection... I have youtube channel and I record stuff to that and usually I need to use Firefox. I really get angry to tell every time to OBS that I want firefox/Crome window to be in bottom and not that black what is there... Why you ask? Because when I add global source it remembers browser tab name and if that tab is not open it's back and you must set it up again. How I can ad global source so it is like Crome or Firefox directly? They must add some setting what does directly what you want and not go bad...
