How can I monitor audio OUTPUT from OBS?

Intermittent issue with "stuttering" audio, but I can't detect it until after recording is finished, then it's too late to change anything.
Probably OBS is fully occupied with video conversions and the sound is missing out on CPU time.
I can monitor all the audio inputs to OBS; the input audio streams are always clean, but I don't know how to detect this problem while it's happening.
Can I somehow monitor the audio that's being recorded, rather than the inputs?
