Hi OBS developers,
I'm interested in understanding how external video sources can be integrated into an OBS workflow through its available APIs or plugin interfaces.
For example, fdown.media is a browser-based tool related to Facebook video downloads. I'm curious about how media obtained from external sources can be organized and then used in OBS projects, while respecting content ownership and permissions.
For developers who have worked with external media sources, what approaches do you recommend for handling source URLs, compatibility, and media playback?
Would a custom OBS plugin or an existing media source interface be the better approach?
I'd appreciate any technical guidance or relevant documentation.
Thanks!
