Question / Help hook conflict?

I recently updated obs and the new el gato driver, it works ok for a little while and then starts stuttering. No matter what settings i have it at. i analyzed the log file and I ignore the preset as it never gave me a problem before. But I had never seen hook conflict before and have no idea as to what causes that. I have no overlay, fraps etc. so I am stumped. My guess is this hook conflict is whats causing the jumps and stutters.

I am using an xbox 360 set at 1080p, when i set it to 720p to match it has the weird effect of causing fps drop and high cpu usage (something it has always done for some unknown reason) it used to run perfectly besides the el gato audio sync. The stuttering applies to both local recording and streaming. If you have any other questions that I can answer please ask.

Thank you in advance!!

The hook conflict comes from an older game capture log, back from march, so no need to worry about that at the moment.
In general your pc is quite underpowered for what you are doing. Its also showing late and duplicate frames which explains the stutter etc you see.
I am actually not sure how it was able to record fine for you earlier. In general I would recommend to lower the settings and tweak them until it is smooth again.

Ok so i just got home from work and tried a few things, I even made the quality lower than when i would stream on my old laptop and it still does the exact same thing. No matter how low i set it. Its pretty frustrating. But i appreciate the help Jack0r!! heres the newer log file. which tells me im using both a slower and faster preset...lol even though i never changed it from ultrafast.

Have you tried removing the Browser source that spams the log file a bit?
The browser plugin can use quite some resources and maybe its causing all the trouble

hmm ill try that.. thank you for the suggestion. I was using it for nightdevs follower alert and another for foobar plugin. and whats weird is i put my settings back to 3k, ultrafast, 720p60 and it did ok. Heres a quick vid i just did.

I will see about the clr browser though. I wonder if teeboard will help?

it was recorded with those OBS settings but didnt show up on youtube as hd..... but either way it sorta worked all of a sudden

720p60 is available on youtube now for that video. Youtube can be slow from time to time.

messing with CLR browser did nothing....maybe its my NVidia driver? I may try rolling back to 340.52 as reading the NVENC thread gave me the idea.

Changed to OBS multiplatform and everything seems alright now, except the El gato sync with everything else (webcam and mic) is back, it gets more delayed over time. Ill post that in the OBS MP area. Thank you for all the help!
