Question / Help Higher Pings since using Windows 8

Hello,

I installed Windows 8 and experienced higher pings while streaming than before.

On Windows 7 I had 20ms~ while not streaming, and while streaming (depending on other people using my net) I had 20-40ms.

Now after Windows 8 my normal ping without streaming is 25ms~ and if my stream is on it goes up to 35ms+ and from there on spikes to 140ms until it stays starts spiking between 70-140ms.

Anyone experiences similar issues or know any fixes?

If you're getting higher ping in-game, try "Minimize network impact" in broadcast settings and see if that helps. Not much else you can do though

Thought so.

So in the end this must be due to my drivers. Not that compatible, yet I guess.

You can also reduce your bit rate, that should help with ping problems, too.
