Question / Help High Encoding AFTER new update!

I know there is a thread for high encoding however none of those have been an issue EVER. When the new update had came over this past week I started having issues when I stream with frame drops and the WARNING: High Encoding. I have been using OBS since mid Oct. of last year. I have NEVER had an issue till just this past week. I've analyzed the logs and have tried different things to help but to no avail. One thing I have noticed is (I mainly play cs:go lately) when I tab out of the game I don't get the warning anymore and the stream is fine. Once I tab back into the game though I start to drop frames. (I play in windowed fullscreen so the game still shows and plays when I tab out). Is this a bug or error on OBS's part or did something in the new update just make OBS CPU intensive? Like I said I haven't had issues with streaming from obs for just about a year now until the new updates came out.

Note: I checked my CPU usage as well on my task manager, NOT streaming I sit at <15% once I start streaming though my CPU goes above 50% usage...

I noticed the same thing, I went from playing BF4 with decent fps and playability to having to reduce the resolution of my stream for it to be slightly playable 15-20 fps. Not sure if there's any options we should tweak because of this if anyone knows.

As far as actually game play goes I have not had an issue. My game ran perfectly fan but the stream on the other hand always lagged. I actually found a fix for my issue I switched from using x264 to using the NVIDIA NVENC and that fixed my issue. Settings>encoding> NVIDIA NVENC. This fixed everything and I am back to streaming perfectly fine. Might work for you as well?

Are you able to download the previous versions and verify? I'd love it if you were able to check (though keep in mind you need to report back the results)
