Hey guys, I am currently getting a high encoding warning when playing some games. Now this can appear on games like Rocket League, CS:GO and Black Ops 3!

My spec:
Intel i5 6600k 3.5GHz
Dual Channel 16GB Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz
Asus Z170 Pro Motherboard
EVGA GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0

Latest Log:

Running a game without vertical sync or a frame rate limiter will frequently cause performance issues with OBS because your GPU will be maxed out. Enable vsync or set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage. If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game.

Game capture would also probably be a better choice than monitor capture.

Switch your video encoder to NVENC and you should be golden.
Alternatively you could enable your iGPU in BIOS and use Quicksync.

@Krisgebis You didn't look at the log file very closely, that system is more than capable of handling x264. Using a hardware encoder wouldn't fix the problem of GPU overload, which is affecting everything else, and would make the stream look worse as well.
