Question / Help High CPU usage while streaming

I've recently started streaming Smite and I've been getting frame drops. At first i thought it was an internet issue so I checked the thread about low fps and stuttering. Later on I discovered the the problem was ,in fact, my CPU usage being too high at some points. It just goes up for 4-10 seconds and the goes back to normal. I've also read the high CPU usage help post ,but I can't seem to get it solved . I got my x264 CPU Preset to superfast and the lag still happens but on a lower basis. I tried tweaking a lot with my settings and I seem to get no efficient result. I want to know if there is something more I can do. I think maybe sending some logs or my settings would help so I'm ready to do so if you'll ask me to. Thank you in advance!

Encoding video is one of the most taxing tasks a CPU can do. OBS will allways use a lot CPU. Most likely your CPU is simply too weak to encode and run the game at the same time.

Here's the log. Btw my processor is an AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor ,4.0 GHz so I imagine it should be able to handle the encoding.

Sorry, that log is incomplete. Can you get us one of a test stream session? You can for example just do a new stream test and then upload us the current log file.

Do you mean I should use the Log Window while streaming and send you the information from it?

Well, not exactly what I meant, but that log is good :)
Hmm, it also looks good from a settings point of view, you even use superfast, which should lower the cpu usage even more.

We had a few people recently with similar AMD processors though, that had problems because of the CPU lowering its clocking/voltage in certain situations. So you could look into this, see if you can turn off this downclocking in your Bios for example. Unfortunately I have no AMD cpu, so I cant really guide you. Maybe you can find the threads from the other users though. I remember at least one that fixed it by just changing some bios settings. A better CPU cooler "could" help, but before I would invest money I would check that the downclocking is definitely the cause of your problem.
