Question / Help High CPU Usage while steaming

Hey OBS Community,

I'am new to the forum and sorry if this is in wrong place.

A friend of mine wants to stream via OBS / OBS Studio. The Problem is when he's online, his CPU is around 80-100% while playing CSGO (with highest settings).
We tried everything. Lower the FPS from 60 to 30, uncheck full spectrum coding.
CPU Usage Preset is "veryfast", Profil is "high" and Keyframe Intervall is set to "0", Encoder is x264.
No downscaling. Just Full HD 1920x1080.
We dont know what to do, to get it work well.
Is a Capture Card eventually needed?


His specs are:

AsRock Fatality Gaming 4 Mainboard
i7-6700K 4.0Ghz
32GB Corsair Ram
GTX 780 Zotac AMP 3GB
Windows 10 64 Bit

The most common cause for this is running CS:GO without any type of frame limiter. Enable vsync or use the fps_max cvar to cap the frame rate to something reasonable, like the monitor's refresh rate.
