Question / Help High CPU usage and laggy stream

My streams have lately been really laggy and my CPU starts running at 100% and I get a "High CPU usage" warning. I haven't tried it on any game except CSGO. When I try to set OBS as a higher Priority in Task manager than CSGO, my game lags. But when I put CSGO on a higher priority, OBS lags. What settings can I change so my stream won't lag, and neither will my game?

same problem here, after updated to win10 my obs keeps getting " High CPU usage " when i try to stream CSGO everytime.

Don't use NVENC. Downscale to 720p@30fps, 2000kbps. Your settings are too high for your hardware.

Also, you probably should have opened your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's. Just because the symptoms are the same (and high CPU is pretty common) doesn't mean the reasons behind it necessarily are.
