Hidden Media Sources are automatically starting and crashing my GPU

I have a lot of media sources that shouldn't be playing when they're hidden, I don't know if it's the new update but when I boot up, i'm hitting like 50% GPU immediately because a bunch of the videos are playing even when hidden, why is this? I've selected show nothing when playback ends also.

Media do not start playback in background on startup of OBS in case of:
  • "Restart playback when source becomes active" property in media is checked and source hidden/disabled via the "eye" icon or hotkey in the previous session of OBS that was shutdown properly (settings saved)
  • "Restart playback when source becomes active" property in media is checked and media is not in the current scene, previous session of OBS was shutdown properly (settings saved)
  • media file not exist or inaccessible in other way
It is possible to auto hide source when it ends (not make it transparent but really hide OBS source) via the plugins or scripts:

Also, confusion that comes from auto start of media playback was mentioned in the next threads:

Disable Hardware Decoding for all of the Media Sources but just 2 or 3 in the scene that you're using. When it's enabled the file will use (waste) VRAM.

The vertical plugin evidently causes the files to play no matter what.
