HEVC with T2 chip?

I've been trying to record using the HEVC format that is supported to encode and decode in macOS using the T2 chip and also the new AMD graphic cards, however I'm not being able to set it up correctly, the footage it's just non reproducible and I'm not being able to import it later in Final Cut Pro X.
My workflow is to record in OBS using multiple scenes and then I edit it in Final Cut Pro, I would like to start using HEVC which I'm able to export it using Final Cut Pro X with compressor, but I can't seem to record it using OBS. Is this supported? if so what's the configuration?

I've noticed the same thing myself. HEVC options appear to just be missing entirely for me. I'd love to be able to use the h265 "VideoToolBox" encoder, just like I can for h264.
