I have a great gaming laptop and I'm trying to use obs to stream Minecraft like i did on my desktop but it drops my fps super low. I've tried everything but it just always lags.I know my laptop can do it but every time I click preview stream my frames drop. So why is obs doing this? Or is there any setting I need to change? I got from over 300fps to just 20-30 and it's always changing.

Encoding-
CBR True
Bitrate 2500

Video-
1920x1080
Downscale to 1280x720
60fps

Advanced
Priority class- Above normal
Buff Time- 700
CFR True
x254 veryfast
Encoding profile main

Please help. I used to stream all the time but now i can't

Trying to run Minecraft at 300 FPS is absolutely going to screw up OBS performance. Enabling vsync should cap it at 60 (or whatever your monitor's refresh rate is), otherwise do the same with the frame limiter. If it still doesn't work I suggest posting a log file - https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/problem-make-sure-to-post-a-log-and-or-crash-dump-howto.97/

I capped minecraft at 60fps but it only made worse and goes down to 15fps.

I got it. Minecraft was using my integrated graphics and not my 960m. But i switched it so. Works beautifully. Thanks for your time
