Question / Help Help with Resolution

Hello, I recently upgraded my CPU and in doing so had to reload my operating system. Since then I have not been able to get my setting how they were before on OBS. My current issue is quality and black bars on the right and left of video. I understand that I don't have a 16:9 monitor and that is why twitch it like that BUT my recordings also have it and it wasn't like that before. I have posted a previous test stream below. Thanks in advance for any help!

Your recordings have it because you've set a 16:9 resolution in your OBS settings.

So if I set it to monitor resolution it will correct the issue?

Set the base resolution in OBS to match your monitor's resolution, or the resolution of what you're capturing (if it's different). You currently have base resolution set to 1600x900, which would work great if your monitor also used a 16:9 resolution, but it doesn't.

So I don't know what i'm missing. I tried both thing and I STILL have black boards on the right and left when recording. What am I missing?

Do you mean that you see a black border when streaming? Does the black border also appear in the OBS preview window?

I found my problem, your link helped with the issue when recording. I still have the boarders when streaming but I understand that is because I don't have a 16:9 monitor. The only other issue i'm having now is i'm only getting 15-20 FPS on OBS. Any input on this?
