Hello, im new to streaming iu just started not too long ago. I'm trying to stream CS:GO at 1024x768 resolution (4:3) streched, and my desktop resolution is 1920x1080. I have tryed almost everything i can try i have looked at every thread on google and no one has seem to be able to help me w/ this problem. when ever i go live my game capture stays in a small box in the center of the screen and u can see my desktop on the edges, i have watched other streamers streaming 1024x768 and they say that they don't have to change their desktop resolution to make this work any suggestions on how to capture the game full screen w/o changing my desktop resolution and making the game windowed borderless

If the game is 1024x768, just stream at 1024x768 as your base resolution so it matches the game. Stretching is a waste of resources, and distorts the image. If you still need help, post a screenshot of the problem. Preferably a log too so we can see the internal settings.

No you just change the resolution inside OBS under settings - video:

Your desktop will stay unaffected.

Oh I thought you play CS in fullscreen mode and use Game Capture. The first session in the log is definitely set to the correct resolution for cs, do that again and use a window capture or game capture to catch the CS window, and it should be fine in OBS.

You always have to remember, your viewers with a 16:9 monitor will have black borders on the left and right of your stream, as 1024x786 is a 4:3 resolution. But I personaly would not worry about that. If you dont like this you could set obs to 1280x720 for example, fit in the cs capture and add a logo and chat area to the black space that is left.

Do you have any monitor capture active? Because the Desktop would not be captured if you only use game capture.

Try to create one scene called Game using the Game Capture template like this :

Use HotKey
My hotkey is Numpad -

after the unckeck all other scene that you may have and start cs and your stream
once your in a server hit Numpad - and everything should looke fine

If the box is small inside the window, then select the source in the window and press Ctrl+F.
