Hello I've tried streaming but the image quality is not up to scratch and I think my pc may be a little slow to play bf4 and stream with obs to twitch.

I have a i5 2400k 8gb ram, Hd5850 graphic not the best I know, 1tb hybrid ssd and another non 1tb hd & 550w power supply

I play bf4 ok for me on high setting but want to stream it to twitch with webcam feed but I dont think what I have is powerful enough so I don't know what kind of 2nd pc just for streaming I would need or updat mine but I've no problem with how it plays but I might later update the graphics and psu

Advice would be great I'm looking for a clean nice twitch feed broadcast not nasty looking

Thanks
Gaz

I think another factor is my internet upload speed is terrible so I'm going to change supplier

make sure to post a log

also in your case it doesnt really matter if you are thinking about a "streaming pc" anyway you might aswell just add a decent gpu to that streaming pc and then stream + game on the same machine again

Hi thanks for replying. Its due to my upload speed that i cant up the quality as i did a speed test and its14.18 Down and 0.83mbps up. But runs great at lower quality setting in obs.

I'm in the process of changing supplier to fiber optic to increase my upload as we was changing anyway as its quite poor general most of the time usually.

I want to stream bf4 and also 2 webcams as me and my partner play so one each on us. would changing the gpu in this PC be OK and not have another for just streaming?
I was looking at getting a MSI Radeon R9 290X LE Lightning Edition 4096MB GDDR5 would this be any better. ?

If not what kind of second pc spec would be ideal to stream only can you give me some idea on specs \?
Thanks

bf4 on decent settings is probably close to maxing out an i5 2400k since even my i7 2700k was running in the 90% when i was streaming bf4 @ 720p60.

i5 are in theory not the best for streaming and gaming on the same machine so in your case you'd probably be better of with upgrading the whole system :/

Videophile

Elgato
Go grab a i7 2600k.

With your bit rate, a second PC is not worth it, since you cant really stream higher than 720p anyways(I would do 540p or lower with your bit rate)

Hi ,, Im changing my broadband to fibre optic so upload speed will be alot better anyway but im also thinking of getting the
Asus MAXIMUS VII RANGER Z97 Gaming Motherboard + Intel i7 4790K cpu Does that look like a better setup with the R9 290X LE

My mobile phone internets better than what ive got at home..

tbh if you HAVE TO stream right now some mb i7 4790k and some decent gpu will be perfectly fine but i would rather wait since new intel cpus is going to be launched in the next few months
